OUR TEAM
LA LEGUA is much more than an estate, a vineyard, a winery and a series of wines.
LA LEGUA is a project which arose from the will of Emeterio Fernández Marcos, an eminent neurologist and psychiatrist from Valladolid, to turn the family estate into a role model and place for the whole family to come together, as well as serving as a meeting point for friends and wine lovers.
At present, LA LEGUA is managed by Gonzalo Fernández Escribano, a lawyer by training and profession, and heir to the family’s passion about vineyards and wines.
Technical management is the responsibility of Carlos Ayala Sanz, an oenologist of acknowledged prestige with a great deal of experience, who has set for himself the objective bringing LA LEGUA’s wines to their highest quality levels yet.
Now and always, LA LEGUA is encouraged by the soul and remembrance of Alberto Fernández Escribano, who devoted his energy and joy to the wines and friends of LA LEGUA.
